SAVE YOUR LINARTUTORIAL by Sanpincha SAVE YOUR LINARTUTORIAL by Sanpincha
I saw a very similar tutorial for Sai in Pixiv. So I decided to make one for Photoshop as well. ovo/

I'm sure there are other ways to do this, but this is the best way that I know how to do. So yeah. I hope this will one day save someone's agony.

Or at least it's a good info to know??? IDK. I tried to help. ;7;

Program used: Photoshop CS5

I did that once- I just used the colour select tool and erased the blue sketch lines. (I was using GIMP, though, it might not work on other programmes...)

Hahaha, yeah. Compared to the starting point of my digital art career, I almost never make this mistake anymore. but I've been seeing people still tripping about this stuff, I figured it could be useful for some. uvu

Yeah, same here.
Though, I just redraw, recolor, and adjust my sketch lines now for some dumb reason, instead of attempting to make a better, cleaner version.

It's so nice of you to share, thanks. ^-^

An interesting, yet for the most part meaningless tutorial for the most of us who don't have the Creative Suites(and, for people like me where GIMP isn't an option).

Well, of course I'm not expecting EVERYONE to have the luxury of advanced and very expensive digital painting software, but it doesn't hurt to have this knowledge either.

Have you tried Fire Alpaca? It's free and you don't even need to install it. It has similar tools for both Photoshop and Sai, on top of that it's compatible with both PC and Mac.

I'm planning on making similar tutorial for both Sai and Fire Alpaca. Saving the line art from the sketch layer is actually quite easy thing to do once you know how the tools in these software works.

It's rather new drawing/painting software I've found recently. It's much less complicated compared to photoshop, and in my opinion, pretty user friendly. On top of that, the little icon is the cutest thing ever.
You can download it here [link]

If it's not something for you, you can just plop it in the recycle bin, no need to uninstall.

I'm still exploring what I can do with this software, and once I get used to the program I'll put together a little guide to get around and use the software and post it on DA.
